Only He Who shall Endure to the End Shall be Saved
It doesn’t matter how you begin this walk of salvation as much as how and if you finish the race. He who shall endure to the end shall be saved. Are you still loving and obeying Jesus? Are you living in HOLINESS or living a double life of sin? Are you hot, or have you grown lukewarm? Have you stopped preaching the true gospel of repentance and holiness, hell and heaven, in order to please your church members?
Are you still praying, fasting, evangelizing, helping the poor, and reading your bible? Are you still paying your tithes and offering to God, and loving your neighbor as yourself? Have you lost your first love? Are you doing the things you did in the beginning? Are you still in the faith? In 2 Corinthians 13:5, Apostle Paul tells us to examine ourselves to see if we are still in the faith. This is something we all must regularly do because the heart is very wicked and deceitful. It is very easy to lie to and deceive ourselves if we are not diligent.
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
2 Corinthians 13:5
“he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
Matthew 24:13
Endure to receive the prize
Apostle Paul understood that the end of a matter is greater than the beginning. He knew it was possible even for himself, to preach to others and be disqualified. And so he disciplined his body and purposed to be holy, and blameless until the end. He said that in a race all run, but only one receives the prize. He compared this with the walk of salvation implying that we must endure just as an athlete does. This requires discipline and keeping an eye on the prize which is heaven. Is your eye still on the prize of eternal life?
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it…But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
1 Corinthians 9:24, 27
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”
Ecclesiastes 7:8
The cheap grace gospel that is very popular these days will lead many to hell. Many believe that all they need to do to enter heaven is confess Jesus as Lord and that it doesn’t matter what they do or how they live after that because we are saved by grace. This is a great deception of the devil to cause many to live careless lives. The New Testament makes it abundantly clear that holiness is a must to enter heaven. As the Lord Jesus himself said, the path to heaven is still narrow and difficult, and few find it.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14
“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 7:21
There is a crown for overcomers!
Beloved, let us keep our eyes on the prize of our high calling and our eternal home in heaven. We must endure to the end. Sin is our enemy and holiness is a must to enter heaven. Let us discipline ourselves just as the Apostle Paul did and admonished us to.
Let us be sober-minded and alert because the enemy is still prowling around looking to devour us to cause us to miss heaven and go to hell (1 Peter 5:8)! And let us remember the words of Jesus to us in Revelations 3:11 to hold fast to what we have so that no one may take our crown. Do not allow the pleasures and distractions of this life to rob you of your place in heaven. Do not let anyone distract you or deceive you. Amen!
“Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.”
Revelations 3:11
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21:7-9
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Have you given your life to Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior? He loves us so much that he, our creator, left heaven and came to earth, died for us on the cross taking our sins upon him so that we may be forgiven and receive his righteousness.
