HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD

God is holy.

“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” Revelation 4:8

“Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.” John 17:11

Jesus is holy.

“Thy holy child Jesus.” Acts 4:30

The Holy Spirit is holy.

“And declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness.” Romans 1:44

God’s angels are holy.

“When He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38

Heaven is holy because it is God’s abode.

“He will answer him from His holy heaven.” Revelation 21:2

God’s temple in heaven, and his temple within us is holy.

“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven.” Psalm 11:4

“Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever.” Psalm 93:5

“Look down from the heavens and see, from the habitation of Your holiness and Your glory!” Isaiah 63:15

The New Jerusalem prepared for the saints to dwell in for eternity is holy.

“And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2

God’s worship is holy.

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9

God’s children are and must be holy.

“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” 1 Peter 1:15

Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

“Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14

The way to heaven is a highway of holiness.

“And a highway will be there, and a way, and it will be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean will not pass over it, and it is for those walking the Way, and fools will not wander it.” Isaiah 35:8

Everything concerning God is holy, and only the holy shall inherit his eternal kingdom. No unclean person will enter heaven. The only way to be made holy is through faith in Christ, who sanctifies us, makes us a new creation and gives us his (Holy) Spirit.

“In that day ‘HOLINESS TO THE LORD’ shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 14:20-21
