Heirs of God and Joint Heirs with Christ

For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

Romans 8:15-17

When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light/Heaven. Our spirits are regenerated and we receive the Spirit of Christ himself and adopted into his family. The Father not only redeems us but makes us his heirs and joint heirs with Christ Jesus. As Jesus told in the parable of the prodigal son, we are restored to our rightful places as sons of God and all the Father has is now ours to receive boldly.

Jesus is the firstborn among many brothers: “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers”

Romans 8:29

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God” Romans 8:29

Further, the bible tells us that Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers who have accepted his great offering for us and made our return back to the Father. We are ONE.

“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren

Hebrews 2:11

Glory to God, we have victory in his name!
