New Age to Jesus; New-Age Deception

For many years I was a follower of, teacher, and author of new age doctrines and false teachings which led me completely away from the real Jesus I had once known and loved- Jesus Christ the Son of God who was crucified for the sins of humanity- to a false Christ who was an ‘ascended master’, an enlightened being who showed us the way to enlightenment, Christ-consciousness and awakening to our divine nature or Godhood. I was sincerely deceived believing I was serving and loving God, but I was blinded by the god of this world Satan who masquerades as an angel of light.

These teachings lead you away from the one true God and Jesus his Son who died for us and the Holy Spirit, to the spirit of deception of the god of this world Satan, the master of deceptions and illusions. Jesus warned about this happening in the last days; false Christs and false prophets rising to deceive, if possible, the very elect. I was deceived and believed in a false Christ. These teachings talk about oneness, all paths leading to God, talk of love but love on man’s terms, following our own hearts and where they lead us- being our own Gods; self-worship.

Astrology, channeling, numerology, the law of attraction, aliens, ascended masters, mediums, Buddhism, nondual teachings, Hinduism, secret doctrines that were really occult, reincarnation, past life regressions, enlightenment, and so forth were some of the things I falsely believed and soaked up. These teachings led me further from God and made me depend on myself. But deep down I knew something was wrong because I had once known Jesus as my lord and savior and knew I was not God and could not save myself, but I kept silencing that voice wanting to believe that I was on the right path.

The Bible says that “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death”. (Proverbs 14:12). My endless seeking, looking for new truths, only led me into deception. Thinking I was seeking truth, I was only falling further into deception because I had left the simple way of Jesus Christ to look for secret teachings. “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3

Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world“. Truth is only found in Jesus and it is simple. The further I went into new age teachings the more bound I was by sins and confusion. In the depth of my despair, I called to God and Jesus saved me and opened my eyes.

The Bible warns against all these false teachings happening in the end times. Satan masquerades as an angel of light. He does not appear to everyone in his true form except those who are deeply involved in witchcraft and Satanism. To most he appears as an angel of light, pretending to preach love and light, all the while luring people away from worshipping the true God and Jesus Christ his son, to worshipping themselves and idols. This he does through the use of secret knowledge, and doctrines, aimed at appealing to people’s lusts and love of self. Or he leads people to think he doesn’t exist.

Satan uses the same lie in the new age that he used to deceive Eve in the Garden of Eden: That man can be like God. (Genesis 3:5). The new age and law of attraction use themes like “I AM God, I am the creator of my reality” that puff up the ego and remove all need for God from man’s life. This is Satan’s modus operandi, to exult himself above God and lead mankind to do the same so that they may perish with him in hell. Satan knows his time is short and his fate is sealed: The lake of fire. But he will not go alone and his aim is to deceive mankind whom he hates because we are made in God’s image.

The web is so vast and the new age deceptions so multitudinous to appeal to as many people as possible, the goal being to turn people away from the one true God and Jesus the ONLY way he provided for our salvation. Man is not God and cannot be God. We are sinners who have fallen short of God’s glory since the fall and the only way to redeem us is the way the Father has provided: through Jesus Christ the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Only Jesus justifies us. The spirit of the Antichrist is now in the world and many are being deceived and led to hell.

New-age teachers even use the bible, twisting it to suit their false teachings. Many are deceived like I was, thinking they are following the truth. Like many new age teachers, I also used the bible to support my beliefs, but selectively ignoring what I did not like or finding a way to justify it like claiming that the bible is not accurate or was written by mere men. For example, I grew to believe hell and Satan are not real but only states of consciousness, but God by his mercy opened my eyes before it was too late. Jesus taught about hell and many people have gone to hell through Near Death Experiences (NDEs) and visions from the Lord, confirming it as well. Hell is real!

I have so much more I could say but I am so grateful God delivered me from hell and deception. He was so patient and merciful to me. The thing is that the new age can never provide a solution to mankind’s sinful nature or soul sickness. It denies the reality of sin, evil, right and wrong, and has no power to help people overcome sin. There is no power in the new age. It has a form of godliness while denying the power thereof. I thank the Lord Jesus for having mercy upon me and saving me for eternity separate from him in hell. Jesus Christ is the way, truth, and life, no one comes to the Father but by him.

There are many false Christs being preached who are not the Bible’s Jesus Christ who came to save us from our sins. Take heed lest you be deceived. Repent and turn to the Lord Jesus. Heaven is real and hell is real. If we reject the path God has provided for us and live in rebellion, worshipping ourselves, we are willfully choosing separation from God. I pray that this testimony may reach those who need it. May the Lord Jesus be glorified now and forever. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me and having mercy on my soul. Please help us to follow you faithfully and honestly. Amen.

I unknowingly deceived many who followed me with my teachings on the new age and I and deeply sorry and ask for forgiveness from those who come across this. I was sincere but sincerely wrong and lost. Jesus asks us to leave all and follow him. “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.” (1 Corinthians 10:21) I have chosen to follow Jesus and leave behind my dark past. “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Jesus (Matthew 16:24)

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and died for my sins so that I may have eternal life. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Keep me and preserve me until the end of my earthly life that where you are I may be also. Forgive me of all my sins (you can mention them all by name one by one sincerely asking for forgiveness) and write my name in the Book of Life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may be empowered to live for you. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Matthew 24: 23-27
