The Bible tells us about hell and the lake of fire, eternal places that await those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation after they die. These two places are often used synonymously, but they are very different locations.

The Bible also talks about Hades, especially in the Old Testament, as the place where all the dead went, rarely giving much detail.
