Celebrity Christianity Is Counter to Christ and His Teachings

There are no celebrities in God’s kingdom. The modern-day celebrity Christianity is not of God. This idea has arisen due to worldly influences and worldliness within the Church, including the prosperity gospel and its related doctrines (such as little gods, dominion, and word of faith theologies, among others). Born-again believers are servants and slaves of Jesus Christ. We are brothers and sisters.

We who are born again have DIED to this world and our old lives, where we lived for fame, stardom, vain glory, selfish ambition, and recognition.

Jesus Christ, our master, did not live as a celebrity but as a minister and servant. The great Apostle Paul did not live as a celebrity or ‘star.’ But these superstar and celebrity Christians have lifted themselves above their own master, Jesus Christ. Shame!

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

“It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master.” Jesus, Matthew 10:25

Celebrity Christianity corrupts.

Be very careful about this new brand of Christianity in our generation; it is from hell and leads to hell. If you are wise, you would stay away from superstar, celebrity, and influencer-type Christians and churches and have nothing to do with them.

The fruit of celebrity Christianity and celebrity culture are not holiness and righteousness or a desire for heaven and escape from the wrath to come. Their fruit is more worldliness, love of money and fame, blasphemy, corruption, and love for this world. These are against the very foundation of true Christianity.

True Christianity is that taught by our Lord, the apostles, and the martyrs, not this corrupted satanic version. True Christianity is a life of self-denial and humility. Only Satan offers stardom and celebrity status to his followers. He offered this to our Lord Jesus, and Jesus rebuked him.

“But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all BRETHREN. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Matthew 23:5-12
