The Holy Spirit Teaches Us All Things
The primary teacher of the child of God is the Holy Spirit. No believer has a junior Holy Spirit. We have received all fullness from our Lord (John 1:16). The child of God must learn to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit and know his voice, as it is he who teaches us all things (John 14:26) and guides us into all truth (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit will always glorify Jesus (John 16:14) and bring to the believers’ remembrance all that Jesus has spoken (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit never contradicts or goes outside the scriptures. He glorifies Jesus and always draws men to Him. Any spirit that glorifies anything or anyone apart from Jesus is not the Holy Spirit.
How is Jesus glorified? When His sacrifice on the cross, his shed blood, his kingdom, and his righteousness (his commandments) are preached and exulted.
Any gift of teaching must come from the Holy Spirit, for it to be true, as he is the only teacher. And the believer should have the witness in his spirit that what he hears is true if he has the Holy Spirit in him.
Seeking men to teach one when there is no relationship with the Holy Spirit through the word is a recipe for deception and idolatry.
“But you have an anointing (endowment and teaching of the Holy Spirit) from the Holy One, and you know ALL THINGS.” 1 John 2:20
“But the anointing (endowment and teaching of the Holy Spirit) which you have received from Him abides in you, and YOU DO NOT NEED THAT ANYONE TEACH YOU; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and BRING TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE ALL THINGS that I said to you.” John 14:26
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH; for He will NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN AUTHORITY, but whatever HE HEARS HE WILL SPEAK; and He will tell you things to come. 14He will GLORIFY ME, for He will TAKE of WHAT IS MINE and DECLARE IT TO YOU. 15All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:13-15
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will TESTIFY OF ME.” John 15:26
