Truth in a Generation of “My Truth, Your Truth”
Truth is absolute, not subjective. There is only one truth and not many. Truth is a person, and it is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Psalm 96:13 says that God shall judge the peoples of earth with HIS TRUTH. A woke generation claims that there are many truths: “my truth, your truth.” But this is not what God says.
“…before the LORD. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with HIS TRUTH.” Psalm 96:13
Our ‘truths‘ are not going to help us in the end because God is the final and righteous judge of all peoples. One day we shall all stand before him to give account for what we did with HIS truth. And His truth is His Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
When Jesus stood before Pilate, the Roman governor, before his crucifixion, Pilate asked him mockingly, “What is truth?” Jesus did not answer Him because he knew Pilate would not hear Him.
“Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to THE TRUTH. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” “ Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” John 18:37-38
Jesus is the truth.
Jesus boldly declared himself to be THE TRUTH. He not only came to bear witness to the truth, but He was that truth.
“Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:17
The truth will make you free.
Jesus is the truth, and therefore, he makes us free indeed! Have you believed in him? In a world of so much subjectivity and relativity, God has revealed the ultimate and absolute truth to us. Only this will make us free for all eternity. There is no other way to the Father. My truth and your truth are vanity. Jesus is the King of kings, Lord of lords, creator of the universe, and THE ultimate truth.
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free… Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:31-32, 36
Save yourself from this woke and perverse generation of many false truths and cling to Jesus!
“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse (crooked, twisted) generation’.” Acts 2:40
