Jesus Plus Gospels are a deception – Jesus Is Enough
Jesus + anything = Deception
Jesus + your prophet/prophetess
Jesus + anointed oils
Jesus + mountains
Jesus + spiritual covering
Jesus + legalism
Jesus + sin
Jesus + alters
Jesus + sacrifices
Jesus + angels
Jesus + your Daddy and Mummy
Jesus + deliverance
Jesus + swords
Jesus + mantles
Jesus + anointed handkerchiefs
Jesus + salt
Jesus + soils
Jesus + special prayers
Jesus + rings
Jesus + pilgrimages to Nigeria, Ghana, and so forth
Jesus + holy water
Jesus + the latest move of God
Jesus + the latest revelation
Jesus + the latest popular man of God
Jesus is enough
Jesus is enough! Be content with Jesus, and your life will be at peace. Stop chasing the latest gimmick, moves of God, latest revelations, and latest men of God. My friend, that discontent with the simplicity of the gospel is what is leading many astray. Abide in Christ. The moment anything replaces, subtracts from, adds to, overshadows, or waters down Jesus as the sufficiency of our faith, they become another gospel.
Jesus is the ONLY WAY to the Father, and he paid the ultimate price with his blood. He finished the work. Jesus + gospels are false.
If Jesus is not enough for you, then his kingdom is not enough for you.
“I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it very easily. I consider myself in no way inferior to those “super-apostles.” Although I am not a polished speaker, I am certainly not lacking in knowledge. We have made this clear to you in every way possible.” 2 Corinthians 11:3-6
Jesus + Anything = Deception; Jesus + Nothing = Everything
The Galatians were falling for a false gospel taught by men who came there to deceive them and gain a following for themselves. This grieved Paul greatly, and he marveled at them. He told them they were bewitched.
It is not a small thing to add to and deduct from the work of the cross. Paul said those who preach any other gospel should be cursed.
“I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel, which is not even a gospel. Evidently, some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse! As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!” Galatians 6:6-9
