Heaven Is a Prepared Place for a Prepared People
Heaven is a prepared place for the children of God who are Holy as he is Holy. No unclean thing can enter that holy city. Jesus died to free us from the bondage and power of sin. He gave us His Holy Spirit, who sanctifies and empowers us to overcome this world, sin, and the devil. And he empowers us to live godly lives in this wicked world.
“But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices an abomination or a lie, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Revelation 21:27
The Christian produces the nature of his father, which is holiness. All this by the power of the Spirit as he continues to grow in the knowledge of his Father, submit to the Father, abide in His word, abide in Christ, resist the devil, put off the old man, and put on the new man.
“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16
“For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13
“Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus— to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:21-24
God has said that nothing unclean shall enter heaven.
We cannot live how we please and dishonor our father and expect to enter heaven just because we want to. We must submit to him and do things his way in love. God can never contradict his word. he is no respecter of persons. Without holiness, no man shall see God.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14
“Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21
