Christ Is All: Our Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption.

Christ Is All: Our Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption.

He alone is the BOAST of the true believer.

Christ is our WISDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANCTIFICATION, and REDEMPTION. (1 Corinthians 1:30-31)

There is no extra righteousness we can have or attain apart from his. We are the righteousness of God IN HIM. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

He saves to the UTTERMOST those who come to God by him (Hebrews 7:25).

He is a complete and perfect savior; he finishes what he starts in those who believe (Philippians 1:6, Hebrews 12:2).

If we think he saved us but we have to then attain some righteousness and holiness of our own, apart from him/his, then Christ profits us nothing (Galatians 5:2).

He has IMPUTED his RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS to the true believer who has entrusted his soul to him (Romans 4:22-25).

To the extent we continue to abide in him (John 15:4), his righteousness and sanctification are at work in us, making us acceptable to God. God sees his son in us and is pleased (Isaiah 53:11).

If we set aside the righteousness of Christ and try to attain our own through works, God cannot accept us (Romans 10:3, Galatians 2:21). Christ is the only SALVATION God accepts. He is the only acceptable ransom.

Any work we do is God at work in us through Christ; it is the life of Christ who is in us, manifesting through us (Philippians 2:13, Galatians 2:20).

We must trust Christ fully, just as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness (Galatians 3:6-9). Abraham believed without doubt. We must trust Christ the same way, not just for salvation but for keeping in righteousness.

As the Israelites looked to the brazen serpent and lived, so must we LOOK to CHRIST ALONE (John 3:14-15)!

He alone is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30-31), and he is a perfect righteousness needing no topping up! Hallelujah!

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, He that glorieth (boasts), let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

“…to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints.” 1 Corinthians 1:2

“And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:22-25

“He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.” Isaiah 53:11

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” John 15:4

“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:3

“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:21

“So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.” Galatians 3:6-9

Have you given your life to Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior? He loves us so much that he, our creator, left heaven and came to earth, dying for us on the cross, taking our sins upon him so that we may be forgiven and receive his righteousness. He conquered death by rising from the dead and made a way for us who were dead in sin to be reconciled back to the Father (God). What’s more, he has prepared a wonderful home for us in heaven, where those who love him and obey him will spend eternity with him. Learn more here about how to be born again and have eternal life after this brief life on earth.
