He Ever Lives to Make Intercession for Us
“He ever lives to make intercession for you.” Think about that.
When I was a backslider, Jesus was interceding for me.
When I was in abominations, he was interceding for me.
When I hated myself, he was interceding for me.
When no one loved me, he was interceding for me.
When false preachers took advantage of me, he was interceding for me.
When churches hurt me, he was interceding for me.
When I lost my faith, he was interceding for me.
When no one was praying for me, Jesus was interceding for me.
When I was a blasphemer, he was interceding for me.
When I was in idolatry, he was interceding for me.
When I was an alcoholic and fornicator, he was interceding for me.
When I was suicidal, he was interceding for me.
When I was on the brink of death, he was interceding for me.
When I reached my end, he was interceding for me.
Jesus does not give up on his children. For 10 years I was backslidden and deep in terrible sin, but Satan was not allowed to kill me. Jesus was interceding for me, and I was recovered.
He spoke to me when I turned back about what he told Peter: “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:31-32
Jesus told me he had been praying for me that my faith would not fail. His prayers prevailed.
It is not a theory; Jesus actually prays for his children. Like a mother who intercedes for her wayward children, he weeps, travails, and prays for us. Never think he has forsaken you.
“Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25
I was like that barren fig tree not bearing fruit, but Jesus interceded for me, saying, “Give her one more year.” Thank you, Lord Jesus.
“Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore, cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year until I dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.” Luke 13:6-9
The love of Jesus knows no comprehension. Hallelujah!
“Jesus is the sweetest name I’ll ever, ever know
And He’s just the same as his holy name.”
