Are you Sleeping Walking Your way into Eternity?

It’s a terrifying thing for a man to sleepwalk through life not caring about his life after death and where he shall spend eternity. The two choices are either the lake of fire with Satan or heaven with God. Heaven is for those who have accepted the ransom of His Son Jesus Christ and Hell is for those who reject it. A few short years here on earth, 100 if you’re lucky, compared to trillions upon trillions of years without end beyond the grave is incomparable. The wise man would know which deserves his utmost attention and consideration.

As Jesus himself asked, “What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?”

Beloved friends, eternity is too long. It is beyond long; it transcends time because it is without measure and end. Can you imagine giving greater emphasis to 80 years on Earth and ignoring eternity? This is what people do every day when they focus on worldly affairs, riches, and enjoying the pleasures of sin, but ignore the state of their eternal souls.

Every soul shall give an account to God

God says in the bible, “All souls are mine” (Ezekiel 18:4). God created all souls, and just as his word says, one day every soul shall give an account for itself. Did the person choose to love his creator or choose rebellion? How do we choose rebellion? When we refuse God’s salvation which he has provided through the death of his son Jesus Christ the Messiah for our sins, and instead choose to remain in our sinful nature which we all inherited from our first parents: Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve chose to listen to Satan and rebelled against God. As a result, sin entered in and corrupted all souls (their offspring) and the world. When we reject Jesus Christ, we are siding with our sins and Satan, thereby uniting with him in rebellion against God. And sadly, when we reject the gift of salvation that God the Father has provided for us, we willfully side with Satan. And all those who side with Satan will share his fate: the eternal lake of fire.

There is no middle ground; indecision is also a decision. The choice to receive Jesus as the savior of the sins of the world is one each individual must make by acknowledging that they are sinners, separated from God, and in need of salvation. Jesus is that salvation. He boldly proclaimed: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). He gave himself as a ransom for our sins by dying on the cross, taking the punishment we deserve.

Jesus is coming soon!

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” Hebrews 9:27

Each of us will face eternity. It is an appointment we all must keep my friend. The only question is when? If Jesus does not come first, death will come first to usher you into eternity. Either way, you will face the God who created you and give account. Jesus is coming soon. The last days’ prophecies given by Jesus and his apostles are being fulfilled in our day right before our eyes. No other generation has witnessed this. It is time to stop sleepwalking through life and wake up.

Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5:14

Now is the day of salvation

Now is the day of salvation. Jesus loves you so much that 2,000 years ago he came from heaven, left his glory, and died a horrible death for all mankind to pay the ransom for sin. He did this so that those who believe in him may not perish but have eternal life. He has given us time to hear about him and receive him, so that we may not be separated from our Creator for eternity in hell. He patiently waits and offers his salvation, but soon the door will be closed.

Receive him today my friend. Repent, turn from your sin, and believe in Jesus as your savior and he will give you a new spirit and a new nature free from the power of sin. You will be born again. Your name will be written in his book of life in heaven and you will no longer be a captive of Satan. Welcome to the family of God. The Bible says that “there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance” (Luke 15:7)! Heaven rejoices over you today! It is not God’s will for any to perish. He loves you!
