The Devil Knows That His Fate Is Sealed
“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Revelation 20:10
The devil has deceived so many people and blinded them with the deceitfulness of sin, perversion, wealth, and rebellion against God. The worst thing is that Satan knows his fate. He knows God can never be defeated, and his fate is sealed. He shall have his throne in the lake of fire forever, and around him in that forsaken place shall be the billions upon billions of human beings who ever lived, burning with him and beholding their master, whom they followed and allowed to deceive them.
It’s going to be a pitifully sad end. Yet it doesn’t have to be this way. Jesus paid the price for mankind, but humanity has rejected him, loved sin more, loved self more, loved this world more, and loved the devil and his promises more.
All these thousands of years God allows the world to continue are a test for humanity to prove our hearts and see who and what we love more. God’s long-suffering and patience are a chance for us to repent. Yet many reject God’s patience and the time he gives them and squander it.
“Remember that these forty years the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commandments.” Deuteronomy 8:2
God is testing all of us. He wants to know who really loves him, not just with their lips but with their heart. May God help us. The lake of fire will be eternal, and those in it will forever be able to behold the city of God and his righteous ones and regret and curse forever because they chose sin and a deceitful master who will be in the torment together with them. No one will be able to help the other in that forsaken place. They will look to the new Jerusalem forever as part of their torment.
“From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come to worship before Me,” says the LORD. “As they go forth, they will see the corpses of the men who have rebelled against Me; for their worm will never die, their fire will never be quenched, and they will be a horror to all mankind.” Isaiah 66:23-24
“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19
