Lay hold on Eternal Life!
Heaven must be laid hold of. It is a land, a country, a destination. One must take the right road to get there and stay on that road. All roads don’t lead to heaven, only one: the narrow road.
No one will end up there who never intended to go there, never gave it any thought, never desired to go there, or walked on a path that did not lead there. No one ever ran a race without knowing they were in a race or strolled casually in the race and got the prize; it has never happened in the history of any sport. Yet many Christians think they can live casually on earth as citizens of this world, loving the world, compromising God’s commands, and still somehow end up in heaven. Beloved, it is not so.
Jesus and his apostles taught that heaven and eternal life must be:
Fought For—1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Timothy 4:7
Pressed Towards- Philippians 3:1
Laid Hold Of—1 Timothy 6:12
Taken By Force—Matthew 11:12
Strove For—1 Corinthians 9:25, Luke 13:24
They taught that one must:
Endure To the End—Matthew 24:13
Overcome—Revelation 2&3
Finish Their Race—2 Timothy 4:7
Resist Sin and The Devil—James 4:7, 1 Timothy 6:11
Pray To Be Accounted Worthy—Luke 21:36
Be Watchful and Awake—Luke 12:37, Revelation 16:15, Mark 13:35romans 13:11
Have Oil in Their Lamp—Matthew 25:4
Be Ready Always—Matthew 24:44
Be Sober Minded—1 Peter 4:7
Hate This World—Matthew 6:24, James 4:4, 1 John 2:15-17

Have you given your life to Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior?
